I'll likely be touring down to Detroit on Saturday. It's only a 3hr drive depending on the border, but I'll likely stay over night and explore Detroit a little. What should I see, eat, drink?

I'm up for a Jalop/Oppo pub night.

Mercury Bar, Detroit Beer Company, PizzaPapalis, Hudson Cafe, Slows, Roast....all good places to eat all though the last two are often not the easiest to get in to.

Henry Ford Museum is 15 minutes away in Dearborn. Must see for gearheads. Piquette model T plant is rad, but closed until April. The DIA is one of the best art museums in the world(closed on Mondays).

Drive around Belle Isle, awesome city (well now state) park. Bigger than Central Park. EDIT: Also go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dossin_Gr…

There's a really nice middle eastern food restaurant a block or 2 away from Comerica. That's about all I've got. To get to Cobo I'd suggest parking at the Greektown casino and riding the people mover (especially if you're over 21).

Aren't Michigan/Michigan State playing at the Joe this week? Might want to check that out. College hockey is awesome.

Maybe I'm spoiled because I now live in Texas but I think Slows is way overrated.

It's good, but it's not even the best BBQ in Detroit(according to my friends that like that stuff). Cool atmosphere, the sides are great as is the beer choice. Being that I'm not a huge BBQ fan or beer junkie, whatever. I'd rather eat at Mercury or Detroit Beer. #1 choice is Hudson Cafe, but they have funky hours.

That being said, last time I was there I got the pulled pork quesdillas and they are legit. Usually I get the triple threat because, well....magic pig.

I was thinking something more along the lines of Bawitdaba.. or just the entire Kid Rock discography

I honestly did blast Journey when I was in San Fransisco.

Detroit Rock City while I shoot roman candles from my car I think would also be acceptable.
